Western devs make their mark.
To say Nintendo’s embracing the indie scene is a vast understatement, and now that support has spread over to Nintendo’s homeland with the recent Indie World showcase. Unsurprisingly, it’s a video showing off a load of lovely new indie games coming to the Switch in the near future, most of which we’ve heard of before, but they’re definitely new to Japan, we promise:
- Celeste
- Overcooked: Special Edition
- The Flame in the Flood
- RORORORO (Death Squared)
- Aegis Defenders
- Stardew Valley
- Gorogoa
- Guns, Gore & Cannoli
- Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2
- Lumines Remastered
- Mineko’s Night Market
- 7 Billion Humans
- Just Shapes and Beats
- PixelJunk Monsters 2
- Dead Cells
- The Escapists 2
- Nippon Marathon
- Bad North
- Minit
- Yooka-Laylee
- Undertale
We think it’s wonderful to see so many smaller games make their way to the other side of the world, but what we think doesn’t matter all that much, so let us know what you make of all these proceedings in the comments below.
