Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order was just announced for a 2019 release, exclusively for Switch.

The third entry in the action rpg series was announced with a trailer, which showed off featured characters like the Hulk, Spider-Man, the Guardians of the Galaxy and Wolverine fighting against enemies like Green Goblin, the Sentinels and many more. It will be developed by Koei Tecmo Games and Team Ninja and published by Nintendo.

Per a press release, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will bring together familiar heroes and villains across the Marvel Universe to battle for the Infinity Gauntlet. “This unprecedented team of characters must use their unique superpowers to defeat the mad cosmic tyrant Thanos and his ruthless warmasters, The Black Order.”

Up to four players can drop in and out in offline or online co-op, and four players can also team up on the same system.

“As longtime fans of the franchise, we could not be prouder and more excited to bring back Ultimate Alliance with its biggest game yet,” Mike Jones, Vice President & Executive Producer of Marvel Games said in the release. “Marvel Ultimate Alliance is all about teaming up with your friends and creating your own ‘dream team’ of Super Heroes to go on adventures across the Marvel Universe, and Nintendo Switch is perfect for delivering on that promise of cooperative gameplay and shared experiences.”

The last entry in the series was Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 in 2009, developed by Vicarious Visions and Savage Entertainment.
