Tetris Effect is on sale for $20
GameStop is lowering prices on tons of games, accessories and consoles in a “Game Days Sale”, which launched today. Some of the year’s best games (including several of Polygon’s best games of 2018) are discounted by up to 50 percent.
Many of the deals in GameStop’s sale were also offered on Black Friday. Most notably, you can save $100 off any PSVR bundle (starts Dec. 16) and $50 off a new Xbox One console. As expected, new first-party Nintendo Switch games aren’t getting any kind of discount, but there are a few excellent older and non-Nintendo games on sale, as well as some Switch accessories.
Your best bets for savings (and gifting) are on 2018 PlayStation and Xbox One games. The lovely new Tetris game, Tetris Effect, is on sale for $20. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Marvel’s Spider-Man (starts Dec. 19) and Hitman 2 are all down to $39.99, and God of War and Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection is on sale for $29.99.
