Pokémon Go Adventure Week 2019 guide: Field research, Shiny Pokémon, and more

Get walking and Pokéstop spinning

Adventure Week is back in Pokémon Go for 2019 and it’s bringing all sorts of good perks with it from June 4 at 4 p.m. ET until June 11 at 4 p.m. ET.

The event is bringing out a lot of sweet perks, including the following:

  • An increased spawn for rock-type Pokémon
  • Quadruple candy from buddy Pokémon
  • 10 times the XP from spinning unvisited Pokéstops
  • A bonus of 50,000 Stardust and 15 Rare Candies for trainers who walk over 50 kilometers on Adventure Sync

Shiny Onix, Lileep, and Anorith will also release, alongside their evolutions, Steelix, Cradily, and Armaldo. Note that if you get the rare chance of spotting any of the evolved forms in the wild, they will not be Shiny. Only first stages of Pokémon can be caught Shiny. If you want that golden Steelix, you’re going to have to level up a Shiny Onix.

That’s a lot of new Shinies.

This event is a good time to finish the Let’s Go, Meltan Special Research if you haven’t already, as step eight requires catching some fossil Pokémon that can be hard to find otherwise.

There’s also a handful of Field Research to celebrate Adventure Week.
