Breath of the Wild fans are rehydrating Ganondorf’s mummy to make him hot

If you’ve watched the teaser for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel, then you’ve probably noticed that Ganondorf is looking kinda busted these days. But if you ask a Zelda fan, the problem is that Ganondorf just hasn’t had enough water. So, they’re drawing fan art of Ganondorf that speculates on what he might look like if he were fully restored.

Spoiler: Fans are making Ganondorf hot. A large part of it has to do with the fact he has long, luscious hair even in his mummified form, so it’s easy to imagine the baddy as attractive. But also, it helps that Ganondorf’s mummy seems to play up his Gerudo origins, which makes way for some nice outfits.

Hilariously, this version of Ganondorf is being called “hydrated,” which functions as a nice double entendre. Here’s a selection of some of the best fan art and related jokes floating around on social media.

Does the Ganondorf in this fan art look surprisingly not-evil to you? Well, partially it’s probably that people will always find villains attractive. But also, there’s a popular theory right now that Breath of the Wild’s sequel might make Ganondorf into the original hero of time, and some fans are taking that idea to heart.
