Fresh from E3
Gearbox Software showed off a slice of Borderlands 3 gameplay at E3 this year.
This ten-minute slice shows the player character infiltrating the Children of the Vault’s Holy Broadcast Center and blowing through enemies. It culminates with a boss battle against a beefcake named Mouthpiece, who lives in a palace of subwoofers.
The Children of the Vault are a new, cult-like group whose motto is “Like, subscribe, and obey.” We played as Moze, a gunner who is one of Borderlands 3’s four new characters.
“There are noticeable improvements,” said reviewer Sarah LeBoeuf when she saw the game in May, “but there’s also just a lot of good, old-fashioned shooting every enemy in sight with an increasing arsenal of weapons and picking up every bit of treasure you can find along the way. In other words, it’s Borderlands.”
