Skater XL For Nintendo Switch Might Not Be Skate 4, But It Could Do The Trick

Skateboarding games are rare treats these days, but Nintendo Switch will be getting one soon. Nintendo announced during its Gamescom presentation that the indie game Skater XL will be coming to the Switch in 2020.

Skater XL is currently in Early Access on Steam. It promises controls that allow you to fluidly mix your tricks across real-world locales like the Los Angeles courthouse.

A brief trailer in the Nintendo presentation showed the flexibility of the trick system and a low camera reminiscent of EA’s Skate series. That series has been dormant since Skate 3 in 2010, so Skater XL appears to be looking to fill that niche for eager skateboarding fans.
