It’s official: The Revival have been released from WWE.
Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder known as The Revival were one of the hottest tag teams in the modern era, and helped define the tag team division in NXT. After being written off TV for quite some time, the writing was on the wall regarding their departure, especially after it came out that the duo had filed trademarks such as "Top Guys" earlier this year.
BREAKING: Effective today, Friday, April 10, 2020, WWE and The Revival have agreed on their immediate release from WWE. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors. https://t.co/PjAOuiHoxs

As a tag team, they are the only Triple Crown Tag Team Champions having won the Raw, SmackDown, and NXT tag titles–and were the first two-time champs with the latter title. Originally paired in 2014, The Revival really started coming together as an identity in 2016 when they donned their collective name and brought a stronger, throwback style to tag team division. They were soon compared to the likes of the Brain Busters with their more ground-and-pound techniques over high-flying maneuvers.
