Marvel to re-release Avengers: Endgame with new scene this week

And a new gem-studded poster

Marvel Studios has confirmed that a new version of Avengers: Endgame will be released to theaters this week, containing a “unfinished deleted scene” and a sneak peek at Spider-Man: Far From Home. Fans will also have a chance to nab an exclusive Avengers poster featuring the Stark Gauntlet.

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige mentioned the re-release in an interview last week, but Disney and Marvel Studios declined to confirm at the time. This morning, however, the studio shared precise details.

Participating theaters will screen the new version of Endgame beginning on Friday, June 28.

“Fans who buy a movie ticket will receive an exclusive piece of Avengers art (available in select theaters and until supplies run out)” according to the press release, “and will also be treated to a video introduction by director Anthony Russo and an unfinished deleted scene from the film, and it will be a chance for fans to get a head start on the upcoming Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Far From Home via a special sneak peek!”

That exclusive art appears to be this poster of Iron Man’s Infinity Gauntlet, with the phrase “We love you 3000,” a message to fans who supported the film to the tune of over $2 billion.

Avengers: Endgame is currently the second highest-grossing movie of all time. As of this writing it would have to take in around $25 million more to top the #1 spot holder, James Cameron’s Avatar.
