Watch the T-800 crush Kano’s junk

The Terminator — specifically Arnold Schwarzenegger’s classic T-800 — is coming to Mortal Kombat 11 next week. On Tuesday, developer NetherRealm Studios offered a peek at how the Terminator will play and what it’ll look like in action. In short, the cybernetic killing machine really likes to use shotguns and looks like current-day (aka Terminator: Dark Fate) Schwarzenegger.

Mortal Kombat 11’s Terminator makes just the right share of movie references. His pre-fight animation is lifted directly from Terminator 2: Judgment Day’s first confrontation with the T-1000, and at one point, the T-800 loses his fleshy exterior to become a terrifying, super-armored endoskeleton. While the MK11’s voice actor for the T-800 sounds just a bit off, everything else about the Terminator looks great.

We even get a look at the Terminator’s fatality, which sends a hobbled Jax to the future where another T-800 finishes the job with a plasma rifle.

Via the PlayStation Blog, we also get a look at a younger model of the T-800:

The Terminator will be available on Oct. 8 for players who own the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack. Everyone else can purchase the T-800 on Oct. 15. The MK11 Kombat Pack includes six downloadable characters, including the already released Shang Tsung and Nightwolf. Still to come are Sindel, Joker, and Spawn.

Kombat Pack owners will also get some new skins on Oct. 8, including the Double Feature Skin Pack (containing a Cyborg-esque Kano and a Sarah Connor-inspired Sonya Blade) and a Harley Quinn-inspired skin for Cassie Cage, which you can see below.
